“ Cute little coffee shop that has non-caffeinated options for kids too. Hubby got the Moroccan iced coffee, which was delicious. Deducting a star because I asked if the matcha was sweetened and they said no, they added a vanilla powder but could hold it, but my drink still tasted super sweet - must not have been ceremonial matcha. Had I known, I would have just gotten one of the fancy coffee drinks ”

“ I was visiting La Jolla, on a mother-daughter trip to San Diego earlier this year. As we waited for the sunset after a long day of walking around town, we decided to grab a coffee and a bite. Better Buzz coffee is located conveniently just 2-3 blocks away from the beach. They had an open space that melted with the outside which was pretty cool. It looked really modern and inviting. Spacious, with lots of seating - it made for a perfect stop along our day trip. It appeared to be quite a popular spot too. The lines were long and seating limited due to the amount of people. My mom and I got our order within about 10 mins so not the bestest of times but considering the amount of people we were pretty patient and neither was the wait terrible. We also got lucky someone was getting up as we were passing by and we were able to grab a table to rest and enjoy our coffee and meal. The coffee was delicious. I got latte which was priced around $7 which is standard these days for a coffee house of this caliber. The peanut butter and jam sandwich was also reasonable priced at $7 a slice. The presentation did impress me, but at the same time I expected something aesthetic from a stylish shop like that. For sure very Instagrammable spot if that is what you're into. ”

“ Pretty pricey for the size of the matcha, but it was delicious ! I got the orange matcha and it was about $7 for this very small cup. I thought it was good, but the price to size ratio just seems too extreme for me to come back regularly. There are other matcha spots with better value! The cafe itself was very cute though. ”

We were pleasantly surprised to find a good coffee shop right around the corner from our hotel in La Jolla - we a stood in the short line and then ordered some pastries and cappuccino and a doppio macchiato - the pastries were pretty good - a croissant and a morning bun - the cappuccino was good and strong and much better than the hotel coffee in the lobby or the maker in the room of course - the doppio macchiato was nice and short but tasted overdrawn which was a bummer - it's fine I just threw it down the back of my throat like a shot lol - I probably could have had it remade but suddenly they were super busy and crowded with like 25 people in line - it's fine- like I said, threw it back and then focused on my croissant - definitely come here and don't drink the lobby coffee lol ”

“ This place is always packed and that is a good y that what they offer is great. We walked up while visiting downtown La Jolla. Our wait to order was about 10mins. We ordered 3 coffee drinks and 3 warmed up pastries. There was a table outside becoming available, which was nice, so we grabbed it as soon as the previous party left. After about 10 more minutes, our order was ready. We enjoyed our items and sat for about 15mins. The outdoor time was cold and windy but it was such a great time here with our drinks and pastries and enjoying our family time. We will surely visit again. ”

“ Bright gold letters announcing we had arrived. There were some outdoor tables with pink chairs if your 4 legged family member came along for the ride then waited while we had coffee and breakfast. We got a lavender latte and a cafe latte breve plus a turkey pesto sandwich and a side order of bacon for grandpup and me. Thanks Doc. So many cute pedigreed fur bebes walking or stopping by so early in the morning. Wow! This place makes SB look ghetto. Then again, this is La Jolla- upscale neighborhood with everything looking picture card perfect. ”
